FAQs
WWCS are experienced grounds maintenance experts, offering a wide range of services across Dorset, Hampshire and the surrounding areas for nearly 20 years. In order to provide you with some guidance regarding our work, we have created a selection of frequently asked questions that we regularly answer from our customers.
With our free no obligation survey, our team always aims to provide a comprehensive service with work completed to a high standard. We can provide a variety of services to suit the needs of our customers, and these are always carried out in a professional manner regardless of the task. WWCS work with a range of outside spaces to ensure that they are properly maintained and fulfil their role for both visitors and customers.
Please take a moment to read through some of our frequently asked questions below.
What areas do you cover?
Our team are based in Dorset and the majority of our projects are in locations such as Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Lymington, New Milton and Ferndown. However, we are more than happy to travel further afield and our services are available all across the south coast of England. Please see our 'Areas We Cover' page for more information.
Do you charge for making an initial visit?
No - we are proud to offer a completely free no obligation site survey to all our customers prior to any work being undertaken. This allows us to understand the finer details of your project and assess any specific locations that you would like us to take a look at. When you first contact us, we will discuss the nature of the work to be carried out and book an appropriate appointment for a site visit.
How long will any work take?
Before any project is started, we will fully inform you of the expected time required to complete the work. Larger projects will obviously take more time, and we look to create a planned works schedule for these instances. Unfortunately there may be occasions where adverse weather conditions can cause delays, as well as any additional requests that are submitted by you during the project, but we endeavour to stick to the planned works schedule.
What areas are you able to care for?
WWCS can take offer services across a wide range of outside areas, but we specialise in grounds maintenance, sports field management and Japanese knotweed removal. Alongside these, we can also assist with tropical plants, tree work, weed control and soft landscaping. Please visit our 'Services' page for more information.
Do you carry out tree surgery?
Yes - we have a fully trained team that specialise in tree management and can offer a range of services. All our work is fully insurer and we obtain the relevant permissions from all interested parties prior to undertaking the project.
When is the best time to landscape a garden?
In order to successfully complete a garden refurbishment in time for Spring, it is best to contact us in the previous autumn as this will allow us time to get the project booked in, plan a schedule of work and agree a target completion date. Gardens can be landscaped in winter, but this is more challenging for our team as it is more than likely we will experience adverse weather conditions from wind, rain, snow and frost, delaying the project and dragging the entire process out - however, the same could be said of a summer heat wave!
How much will it cost?
You will receive a formal written quotation from our team detailing the work that you have requested to be carried out and an appropriate price. Unless any additional changes are made by you during the project, this price will not change as we deal in quotations, not estimates.
Are all your employees trained and qualified?
Yes, WWCS only use fully trained professionals to perform maintenance and landscaping work, and we strive to provide you with a friendly, dependable grounds maintenance service at all times.
